"We are hundreds of humanitarians and peace activists engaged in a strictly legal and non-violent mission. The seizure of our vessels and the detention of our crews, including elected officials, is a further humiliation of the international community by Israel. We call upon the European Union and the UN to condemn this action immediately. " Following the interception, detained activists were being transferred to the port of Ashdod, Israel, for processing and deportation.
